(Old Railway Line)
Your personal guide Steve will lead you through the heart of our stunning ancient New Forest.
Join us for a relaxed, guided half-day cycle ride starting from Brockenhurst, right in the heart of the New Forest National Park. This scenic route takes you along peaceful gravel tracks, ancient woodland trails, and quiet country lanes — the perfect way to experience the beauty, wildlife, and history of this unique landscape.
We begin our adventure by riding towards the Rhinefield Ornamental Drive, one of the most picturesque routes in the forest. Our first stop is the New Forest Reptile Centre, where you might spot adders, frogs, and other native species in their natural habitats.
Nearby, we visit the Portuguese Fireplace — a fascinating First World War site built by a Portuguese army unit who supported local workers in timber production.
From here, we follow tranquil forest tracks through some of the most scenic parts of the New Forest, skirting behind the Deer Sanctuary, where you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of wild deer.
Leaving the forest, we cycle along quiet lanes to the charming village of Burley for a well-earned coffee and slice of homemade cake at Shappen Café — a favourite stop for local cyclists. The final stretch follows the old railway line across open heathland, bringing us gently back to Brockenhurst.
