Our five-day mountaineering course gives us the opportunity to cover more aspects of looking after yourself and get more in depth with the techniques to get you moving with confidence over different types of terrain. We're here give you the skills, knowledge and tools to be able to make safe decisions in the mountains from the forecasts, terrain & how to climb safely your routes with the knowledge gained over the five days.

Day 1
Cairngorms.
Day one will we concentrate on being able to move around on steeper slopes using good footwork, use of the ice axe, how to tie in and belay.
Day 2
Cairngorms.
Day two will be looking at putting our techniques from yesterday into context and heading up a grade 1 gully; we look at anchor selection and construction.
Day 3
Cairngorms.
Day three we try to get on some mixed terrain like Fiacall Ridge or Ledge Route and the skills required to safeguard through this type of terrain.
Day 4
Glen Coe
Day four we can have a look at climbing something a little steeper possibly grade 2 and how we use our techniques to be efficient on steeper snow.
Day 5
Glen Coe
On the last day we will draw all of our skills together and put it to the test on something that's challenging, but you're comfortable with, such as traversing The Aonach Eagach ridge.
