Join Liz for an insightful Spring Wild Forage around Hollerday Hill in Lynton, North Devon.

Learn up to 10 wild edibles up inside the magical Hollerday Hill woodland on a short circular stroll (1km) offering gorgeous views over the Bristol Channel and Valley of Rocks. Starting with the Golden Rules of Foraging with your foraging card, Liz will show you the type of habitat and key identification features needed to confidently identify some fungi, herbs and flowers. You will leave knowing some great recipes, folklore and medicinal powers of wild edibles. Tasting wild jams/sauces on oatcakes, you will also get to try wild herbs and flowers from around us.

How far and hilly is the walk: We will slowly walk up 230ft/70m to the top and walk < 0.6mi /1km
What will I be tasting: harvested wild edibles, rosehip jam, rosehip syrup, whortleberry jam, gluten free oatcakes. We will not be eating fungi.
Dietary requirements: please inform Liz of any dietary requirements before hand!
What do I wear: sturdy walking boots/shoes for ankle support. Clothing appropriate for the weather forecast
Can I bring children: Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult. U5s go free
Can I bring my dog: Well-behaved dogs welcome. No dogs on the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, please
