Enjoy a Cream Tea with delicious home-made scone and a tea or coffee (or buy a glass of prosecco!) as you cruise west down through the lock and over the historic Grade II listed Avoncliff Aqueduct, designed by John Rennie. Kingfishers, herons, ducks, swans, moorhens and other wildlife are frequently spotted. You are also welcome to join the cruise without a Cream Tea.
The Barbara MacLellan is a 65ft wide-beam boat operating from Bradford on Avon Wharf Cottage, by the lock, BA15 1LE. The boat has 10 tables and we are able to accommodate a maximum of 2 passengers who wish to remain in a wheelchair. There is a licensed bar on board serving a small selection of hot & cold drinks and snacks. We can only take card payments please. There is a small toilet on board. Passengers will board and disembark the boat using steps, but we have a lift for anyone unable to do so easily. The lift will accommodate self-propelled size wheel chairs. We welcome Assistance Dogs and thanks for understanding that they will not be able to sit on our upholstered seats.
