Day 1 (morning) – a session of Neuro Linguistic Programming with our hugely experienced and qualified therapist who is a specialist in this area.
Day 1 (afternoon) – Out to the Peak District. By this stage your unconscious mind will have made vast progress, but on a conscious level you might not be so sure. From hereon we use a system of graduated activities outside (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) to demonstrate to you how far you have now come. We use the outdoors as a safe medium through which to continue working with you to help you develop your confidence at height. On this afternoon we will be taking you to try abseiling. (I know that sounds frightening: that's because you have a fear of heights!)
This phase further consolidates upon your progress and we continue to offer you opportunities to gain positive experiences at height.
Continuing to use a practical approach outdoors we lead you through a series of phased exercises. On this day we aim to develop your trust and confidence in us and the equipment, but ultimately in your skills and then … in yourself! Day 2 has us bouldering, scrambling and rock climbing. It is a really FUN day and you will depart a changed person! (Note - we know you won't be a rock climber, and since you have a fear of heights, you probably have no interest, in rock climbing. Don't worry - it's just the medium we work through to help you on this journey).
