Our most popular sea kayak tour, a full two-hour scenic guided "Secret Beach and Cave tour" to explore the stunning scenery and coastline of Combe Martin Bay and Exmoor National Park. You’ll view the Hangman hills the highest sea cliffs in mainland Britain along the way. There is ample time to look out for the local wildlife including various seabirds such as fulmars, oystercatchers and cormorants. There are peregrine falcons nesting in the sea cliffs and in the water we have regular sightings of, dolphins, porpoise, sunfish, and seals.

You will get to visit small secluded beaches, coves, secret inlets, and hidden caves many of which can only be reached by kayak. You will get to see some of the best views that this area has to offer and have the reassurance of being accompanied by British Canoeing qualified, full-time kayak guide.

We value your custom and want to make experiences on the water as cost-effective as possible. With this in mind, we are not increasing our prices for 2023, they will remain the same as our 2022 prices per person. A wetsuit is included in the cost of the tour. All tours are two full hours on the water.

All kayaks have a weight limit, our sit-on-top single and double kayaks have a weight limit of 16 stone (101 kg) per person.

Equipment Buoyancy Aid, Wetsuit, Kayak and Paddle

What you'll need

Waterproofs If the weather is a bit rainy then a light waterproof jacket may be useful.
Drink A drink of water is advisable to take on the tour.
Other A change of clothing is advisable as you might get wet in the kayak. Remember to bring sunscreen lotion, sunglasses and a hat.

Cancellations

Custom Policy

Surfside Kayak Hire reserve the right to cancel a trip or hire because of adverse weather or sea conditions, or for any other safety related reason. In this instance, an alternative trip/hire or full refund will be offered.
For any cancellations at least 2 weeks’ notice before the booked session – 100% of the total fee will be refunded. At least 1 weeks’ notice before the booked session – 75% of the total fee.
Group trips require a minimum of two people to run. Where this minimum is not met, an alternative trip or refund will be offered.
