Highlights
Join our local historian, and our professional photographer, on a relaxed 2-hour photo walk experience, taking in the unmissable nostalgia and shifting sands of the Margate coast.
We'll start this very flat walk with a coffee stop at Rosie, the bus on the beach, then view the country’s oldest surviving amusement park, Dreamland, for some photography tips from Ben. You’ll learn the stories behind Margate from Andrew, your tour guide and local historian, including the brutalist architecture of Arlington House, the mechanical elephant, TS Eliot's connections to the town, as well as the faded glamour of Margate Lido, before heading for a further refreshment break in the café at one of the UK’s leading galleries, the Turner Contemporary, with its stunning views across Margate Sands.
Nostalgia, the coast, and photography – a great mix!
