  • Location High Peak
  • Price from £40.00

Highlights

The ultimate brunch of legends and scenic panorama.
Discover the myths, stories and fables of the the famous Mermaid's Pool on Kinder Scout.
Starting from the historic village of Hayfield, we journey at a relaxed pace,
enjoying the Peak District views from an 'off the beaten path' perspective.

At the edge of Mermaid's Pool your guides will serve a Scandinavian style brunch:
Danish pastry, skyr with fresh berries, rye bread with choice of smoked salmon, cream cheese and egg.
Accompanied drinks: Coffee, breakfast tea, Earl Grey tea, orange juice.
There's also the opportunity to dip your toes in the pool and hope that the Mermaid blesses you with good fortune.

Then, our walk will continue to see and talk about some of the other Kinder Scout sites of mythology.
Our Ranger Expeditions Peak District hilltop breakfast experiences are led by local Mountain Leaders in small groups, so you're never lost in a crowd.

If cancelling less than 28days before the event, 100% of booking fee is due.

Substitutions
If I cannot attend an event, up to 24 hours before the event, I understand I may substitute another person to take my place.
But will inform Ranger Expeditions Ltd of this substitution. Ranger Expeditions Ltd are not party to any exchange of monies between the incoming and outgoing participant. As a condition of joining, the incoming participant must agree to the participation statement below.

Deferrals
We're sorry but we cannot accept deferrals to a later event. While we sympathise with participant's individual circumstances, we cannot indemnify against injury, illness or other unfortunate situations in private life prior to the event. The bottom line is that booking fees for a given event are already heavily invested very early in the planning process (e.g. booking guides, support team, advance payments for transport where used, insurance etc) Deferrals in effect cost us twice the amount in event costs – once for the event deferred from and once again for the event deferred to, which is not sustainable.

Insurance
If the ability to join is of concern to a participant, we recommend taking out personal cancellation insurance.
Legally, we cannot legally advise or guide you on cancellation policies or their details.

Participation Statement
I understand the nature of the event. I agree that I enter the event at my own risk and take full responsibility for my own safety and actions during the event. I do not hold Ranger Expeditions Ltd., or any of its Directors, employees, support workers, volunteers or agents responsible for any damage or injury sustained to me, my property or any third-party injury caused by me during the event. I do not have any medical condition that would deem me as a medical risk during the event.

Our guarantee to you
Inclement weather is to be expected with hill walking and outdoor activities. And while we often enjoy blue skies and sunshine. We're not afraid of rain and wind can, which has been a feature of many memorable grand days out with a sense on achievement at the end.
However, if the event has to be cancelled in advance due to severe weather or countryside incidents such as foot and mouth, we offer a choice of:
1) Full refund
2) Transfer to a walk at a later date
3) Credit to the value of your payment to use on any of our other walks
