Highlights
This one day hike and scramble will take you up some of Snowdonia's major summits, including the highest mountain of Wales - Snowdon.
You'll take on some Grade 1 scrambles including the famous exposed ridge on Crib Goch and the summits of Snowdon and Lliwedd. A scramble is midway between hiking and climbing. In other words, it's hiking with some use of hands to stabilise yourself.
Although ‘just’ a grade 1 scramble participants do need a head for heights for certain sections. We’ll take it slowly, and because the group size is small (maximum four people), I will be able to coach you through the tricky sections. I am a qualified mountaineering instructor (MIC) and full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors so you’ll be in good hands.
Grade scramble: 1 (some use of hands, relatively straight forward route)
Distance: 11 km
Height gain: 910m
Time: 6-7 hrs
Ratio: 1:4
