The route starts in the famous Carding Mill Valley from a National Trust car park climbing the steep paths past waterfalls, lakes, bronze age barrows and iron age forts, reaching the Pole Bank summit with (hopefully) views across Wales, Shropshire, Hereford and Worcestershire where Woolly Mammoths once roamed and gliders now soar. We take in acient trackways such as the the Portway path riding the ridge for several miles making our descent into the batches (the steep, deep valleys either side of the ridge, leisurely meeting the horses that roam the area and endless streams, ending back at the cafe for cake.
You’ll be working up a sweat. Bring along a touch of enthusiasm and a little determination
