Learn to appreciate the comforts in your life by ditching them for a night! This adventure will have you surviving the night in the wilds of the Lake District under a tarp, in Winter! You'll get out of your comfort zone and spend the night at Scales Tarn on Blencathra. Camping in whatever the weather may bring; Rain, wind, hail, snow, you name it, it's all a possibility! You'll learn how to survive winter conditions under a tarp, deal with the fear of darkness and solitude, wild camping techniques, and you'll cover the best kit to use for wild camping. You'll meet at Honister Slate Mine and will make the journey up to Scales Tarn on Blencathra. This Lake District favourite will not disappoint and will give you plenty of memories! This adventure is perfect for beginner campers, but you must have some hiking experience.

Itinerary

You'll meet up, get introduced to each other and dump the cars! We'll split up the team kit and head off up Blencathra. After arriving at the Tarn, we'll spend the night braving the elements, don't worry, you'll be warm in a good sleeping bag! (Get in touch with your Guide, Chris, beforehand to chat about the best kit/bag to bring) After the night we'll head back down, soak up the beautiful scenery of the Lakes and make our way back to the RV.
