Highlights
This is a two-day adventure that takes on two of Snowdonia's best scrambles and most thrilling routes, The Snowdon Horseshoe (including Crib Goch) which is one of the UK's finest mountaineering days and the North Ridge of Tryfan a real playground for scrambling.
Join this adventure to get introduced to the art of scrambling (the art of hiking across rocky edges with the use of your hands for stabilisation), whilst seeing some amazing views and embracing your inner adventurer.
You will need to be active and healthy, expect to be walking upwards of 8 hours a day and have a head for heights. There's a minimum number required for this trip to go ahead, if you're a lone adventurer, give us a message and we'll add you to the waitlist.
Day 1We'll meet in the car park, to introductions of the group and will do kit checks and briefing of what the day will entail. We'll introduce you to scrambling and navigation tactics.
he Snowdon Horseshoe route includes the classic ridge scramble of Crib Goch on the ascent to Snowdon and is one of the best mountaineering days in the U.K.Day 2Tryfan, often voted the UK's favourite mountain with walkers is a classic grade 1 scramble, a real challenge and you will walk away feeling more confident on steeper ground and pushing your walking to the next level.
Inclusions What's Included 🥤 Drink - MDA staff will carry flask of coffee and hot drinks on the hill with us to keep you going. 🧰 Equipment - Any additional safety equipment required will be supplied. 📋 Other - Laminated maps of your route. What you'll need 📋 Other - Clothing:
Suitable clothing for a day out on the mountains in variable weather - including lightweight drying material, sufficient insulation and layers (no cotton base layers, tshirts or hoodies)
Waterproofs (jackets and trousers)
Gloves and a hat
Carried in a small daypack:
Waterproof bag (can use bin liner but dry bags are best to protect items from heavy rain).
Spare clothing (A spare warm layer for use in emergency or when we stop. Also 1x spare socks, gloves and a warm hat)
Headtorch
Water for the day, food and snacks.
