The Chamonix valley sits at the foot of Mt Blanc which provides a stunning backdrop to this introduction to mountain trails combined with relaxing yoga sessions following each run. On this holiday we provide a 2 half-day running adventure break combined with yoga aimed at yogis looking to discover trail running in the mountains for the first time, as well as more experienced runners looking for a spot of comfort whilst pursuing their passion for running and yoga. There are many route options around the area which will take us to both sides of the valley. The trails vary from pine woods to rocky exposed routes, something for everyone. We pick some really beautiful 13km (approx.) trails for you whilst you which show off the valley at its best, so you get a good flavour of what to expect on our longer adventures. We will also look at some of the trail techniques that will make you a more proficient trail runner. You will get some breath taking views of Mt Blanc as well as the Aiguilles (needles). Since this holiday is focused on comfort, running and yoga, the trail runs will last around 3.5 hours a day followed by an alpine yoga session leaving you relaxed and ready to enjoy the rest of each day, to relax and explore Chamonix and possibly even take a trip up to the Aiguille du Midi. You will be staying in a 4 spa hotel with access to a pool and other amenities so you can unwind and enjoy the views. On the Friday evening we will meet up for dinner with your guide as well as some of the Run the Wild Team. As with all Run the Wild holidays, all you have to do is book your flights, turn up and run - we will take care of the rest!

Day 1

We all meet for a quick kit check before walking to a fantastic local restaurant for dinner on the Friday evening, which is included in the trip price. This gives all runners and guides a chance to get to know each other, and ask any questions.

Day 2

We meet after breakfast, and the guides will give a quick explanation of the day ahead. This will of course depend on the weather among other variable factors. Come rain or shine we will head out into the mountains and take in some of the best paths the Chamonix valley has to offer. There will be a refreshment point to give a taste of what the local area has to offer, including a cheese and wine tasting, we conclude the morning with a yoga class for runners, all abilities catered for.

Day 3

Again meeting after breakfast with a quick summary of the day by the guides. This time we head out to explore some other fantastic trails, with breathtaking views. Another awesome refreshment point, and more information about the history, and local traditions of the valley in addition to all the geographic information on the area. The morning concludes with a second yoga session for runners, in front of incredible views of Mont Blanc. The day finishes in time for a quick shower to allow runners to get transport back to the airport, or explore the local area at their own leisure!
