Highlights
Join Kernow Coasteering for Cornwall’s greatest coasteering experience. On this trip, we take on the towering cliffs of Land’s End. Coasteer through an absolutely epic landscape of stunning cliff scenery and explore a jaw-dropping array of gigantic caves and sea arches. Swim and scramble along the coast until we finally round the mainland UK’s most westerly point, before heading to our exit, a scramble up a granite promontory over a final, impressive sea arch.
This is our advanced coasteering experience, and is not for the faint-hearted. It does have some strict requirements that everyone in the group must meet:
\- Previous experience of coasteering in a tidal environment.
\- A confident swimming ability; you must be able to swim 200m in one go.
\- The minimum age for this trip is 16.
\- The final exit required some brief, easy scrambling. Rope assistance can be provided, but anyone with a serous aversion to heights may find this final obstacle very challenging.
Itinerary
We meet in the main car park for Land’s End for this trip. Parking for Land’s End is not included in the price. We then get prepared for the trip, before finding our way down to the water’s edge, beneath the cliffs. We then set off. The route is committing, we have a long route to complete before we can reach our next viable exit up the cliffs. We have a lot of incredible ground to cover along the way, but no way out for anyone who decides they are not up to the challenge – this is the primary reason we call this our advanced route.
We run this trip rarely, as it is only possible when the swell is very low. The rest of the time it’s simply too rough. If you register your interest for this trip, ideally you have flexibility in your schedule to be able to change to some adjacent days than the date given here. That way, we increase the likelihood of being able to run this trip. We also need a minimum of 6 people to run this trip. If you number less than this, don’t worry, we will put you together with other keen coasteerers.

What you'll need
🍴 Food - You may want a snack on hand for when you've finished coasteering.

📋 Other - All of our guests need to bring some trainers or wetsuit boots to wear into the water. This is mandatory, and it is not possible to take part without footwear. You also need to bring an extra pair of shorts that can be worn over the wetsuit that we provide. The shorts give you some extra padding, and protect our wetsuits from damage by the barnacles.
