If who you're doing it with is as important to you as what you're doing, then you're in the right place! We're a sport/adventure club and we organise loads of events and trips for our members all over the UK and overseas, and we're back to one of our favourite spots for the May Bank Holiday - Newquay!
The premise is simple - get a group of people together (mostly members but everyone's welcome to come along and give the club a try before joining) in a great location so we can share the fun doing loads of brilliant activities.
We'll be based in a hotel (twin share rooms) on the Pentire Headland overlooking Fistral Beach and the town, so we're ideally placed for surfing, coastal hikes and all the various other activities like coasteering. We're also a stones throw away from one of the best pubs in the area, perched right up on the cliffs and doing great food.
We always have a club host present to help organise all the various activities, and we keep these fairly informal so you can get as much as you like out of the weekend - many of us will just hire surf boards and surf as much as possible depending on conditions, whilst others may opt for a nice coastal hike along the South West Coast path. We'll also no doubt do a coasteering session, or a snorkel/kayak tour...there are loads of options!
Most importantly we're all about getting a group of people together to do fun stuff, and chances are you'll meet lots of the others again should you do more events. It's about sharing great experiences, and we keep it flexible to help you all get the most out of it.
The rough itinerary will be as follows: Friday night - drive down (hopefully with lift share, or train if not). Dinner included at the hotel. Saturday - surf in the morning, then options for the afternoon include hiking, coasteering or more surfing. In the evening we'll play some beach games followed by a chippy dinner on the beach. Sunday - another morning's surfing, followed by a lovely paddleboard up the Crantock Estuary. Dinner included at the hotel. Monday - surf or hike in the morning, nice lunch by the harbour, then head off.
Cost - £220 - includes accommodation for 3 nights in twin share rooms, breakfasts each day, 2 dinners in the hotel, the beach games and chippy evening, and at least one host-led hike.
Food - all lunches are at own cost
Activities - surf hire and any other paid-for optional activities (like SUP, coasteering etc) will cost extra. As a guide most are approx £35-40 per session.

Day 1

Travel down after work on the Friday (lift share with others in the group which we'll help arrange nearer the time)

Day 2

Breakfast followed by a morning's surfing - hire or lessons it's up to you, and we'll be in touch in advance to help arrange lessons should you want/need them.
In the afternoon options will include hiking, surfing or coasteering (all arranged in advance and we'll be in touch separately to the group to do this).
Evening - beach games and chippy dinner on the beach, before heading somewhere warmer when we need to!

Day 3

Breakfast followed by various optional activities for the day: surfing hiking SUP or just chilling out!
Dinner at the hotel before drinks out and about

Day 4

Our last day, and again we'll organise various optional activities for the morning before a nice lunch in the harbour, and then we'll start the journey back home.
