This cycle tour takes you from the world famous Gretna Green on the West coast, over the Southern Uplands to Berwick-Upon-Tweed, on the East coast. The ride follows the entire length of the Scottish/English border passing through several historic sites and the fantastic scenery of the Kielder Forest and Northumberland National park on the way! This adventure comes with a nights accommodation in Gretna, with dinner and breakfast before the ride. During the day there are a couple of refreshment breaks to keep your energy topped up, and a wholesome lunch put on by Wildlands staff. Adventure Details

Day 1

Start time 18:00

Today you get to meet your fellow riders, and of course the Wildlands team who will be looking after you on this challenge event. After checking in to your rooms there will be a safety briefing for tomorrows ride, and a uick check over of all bikes taking park in the event. Once the formalities are over, it's time for a team dinner and a chance to get to know your fellow riders and the Wildlands team.

Day 2

After an early breakfast it's time to hit the road. Our ride leader will give a quick refresh of the safety brief then it's off! The day starts out gently as you wind your way through the flats of the Solway Firth and Eden Valley, before the hills gradually start to increase. Our lunch stop will (weather permitting!) give fantastic views out over the Kielder Forest and Northumberland National Park. From here it's mostly down hill now as we head for the East coast. On your way the ride passes through the historic border town of Coldstream, before following the River Tweed to the coast. For those that wish, there will be a celebratory meal this evening.
