Highlights
A one day navigation course designed to give you the confidence to get out on the hills on your own.
Starting with the basics of map reading we will head out on to the hills near Loch Lomond to put this in to a real world context. During the day you will be introduced to and have the chance to practice a variety of navigation techniques. By the end of the day you will have the skills to go out on your own and consolidate your skills.
Itinerary
Meeting in Luss car park where you will meet the rest of the group before we get underway.
You will start off learning the basics of map reading, before we head out in to the hills to put it in to practice and learn in a real world situation.

What you'll need
🧤 Warm Clothing - Mountain weather can be changeable so please bring a warm layer or two.
☂️ Waterproofs - A water proof jacket and lightweight waterproof trousers.
🍴 Food - Lunch and snacks to keep you going through out the day.
🥤 Drink - We suggest that you carry 2l of water with you, or have the ability to purify water on the go.
📋 Other - A suitable compass (contact for more info) and a local map.
If required you may be able to borrow these for the day.
