Highlights
Book this Private Guided Tour for the opportunity to explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park, but with a particular focus on the countryside and locations used for the filming of the new All Creatures Great & Small TV series, first shown on Channel 5 in 2020. In the morning you will experience some of the stunning filming location landscapes, before spending lunchtime in Grassington, used as the location for "Darrowby", where you may want to eat and drink with the locals in one of the pubs or cafes. In the afternoon, you can either continue to enjoy more of the Yorkshire Dales or head off to Thirsk to visit the award-winning World of James Herriot visitor attraction.
Departs 9.00am and drops off 5.15pm. Available from York, Leeds or Harrogate for private groups of 1-4, 5-8 or 9-16 people.
Itinerary
We will pick you up from your hotel or other location of your choice in York, Leeds or Harrogate at 9.00am and head off to the Yorkshire Dales National Park to show you the beautiful countryside and locations used for the filming of the new All Creatures Great & Small TV series, first shown on Channel 5 in 2020. In the morning you will have photo stops at Barden, Malham and Hawkswick and a mid-morning coffee stop in the beautiful Dales village of Burnsall, before spending lunchtime in Grassington, used as the main filming location for "Darrowby". You can join the locals for lunch in one of the pubs or cafes or just explore the "Darrowby" filming locations - whatever you prefer! In the afternoon, you will then have the choice of continuing to enjoy more of the stunning Yorkshire Dales landscape or you can head off to Thirsk to visit the award-winning World of James Herriot visitor attraction to see where Alf White (the real James Herriot) lived, worked and wrote his series of books, based upon his experiences as a young Yorkshire Vet.
