During this practical half day workshop participants will have the opportunity to explore book illustration by looking at examples and learning about the illustrator’s process before having a go themselves. In a fun and relaxed environment we will experiment with different art materials whilst trying some character development and making some simple books to explore the interplay of text and imagery and also visual storytelling without words. All art materials will be provided but participants are welcome to bring examples of illustrated books that they are inspired by to share with the group. Participants can be accompanied by an adult or attend unaccompanied.
