Highlights
Join us on a relaxed 2-hour photography walking experience, taking in Canterbury’s medieval ramparts, its almshouses, and its meadows and rivers. You will learn the stories about this beautiful part of the city as well as gain expert photography tuition along the way. We will guide you on a flat, easy-paced walk through the beautifully landscaped Westgate Gardens and along the Great Stour, taking photos of the sights of punts and wooden boats under the guidance of our professional photographer.
Our tour guide and local historian will help you make sense of the stories behind the medieval walls. We will take shots of the motte-and-bailey Norman castle; the medieval Westgate - the oldest surviving city gate in England; as well as giving the additional option to visit the 13th century Greyfriars Monastery and gardens, an unexpected haven of peace and tranquility right in the heart of the city. We will stop along the way at one of Canterbury’s locally renowned, independently run cafes, for coffee and cake.
