Wildlife Themed Introduction to Lino Print with artist and printmaker Sue Rowland. Suitable for beginners. Come along and spent a great, creative day learning the technique of lino printing with local artist Sue Rowland. Sue will teach you how to create your own original design and to use the different lino tools to cut the lino plate. She will then help you to print your own small edition of fabulous prints to take away with you! You will start by designing a lino print and learn the techniques of transferring the design to the lino and then lino cutting and using the tools safely. You will explore mark making and texture in your design too. You will cut your design and print this by hand onto some different print papers. The day is about exploring printing and having fun to produce a wonderful small edition of original prints to take home. After the course you will have all the skills to continue the technique at home if you wish to do more printing. Please note -this course involves a lot of cutting, so if you have problems with your hands or wrists, you may find this course difficult.
