Sea Kayak Sunset Wild Food Experience
Enjoy an evening paddling through the sunset exploring the
English Riviera Unesco Global Geopark, You will paddle out around the famous island of Thatcher rock and visit several sights of specific scientific interest (SSSI's) before stopping on a wild secluded beach to hunt for fossils, forage a special marine herb that we will then use to flavour our fresh line-caught Mackerel (or other white fish) fillets on hot-stones for your dinner. This will be accompanied with local breads and salads.
This tour only operates for groups of 4 or more. If we cannot locate 4 people we will either look to re-schedule your booking or offer another tour option. Alternatively you can make this a private tour for a romantic evening/ honey moon for 2 people at the full tour cost of £240. In which case we will supply a bottle of Prosecco and glasses within the cost price and blankets for you to sit on.
Our active seal populations and resident cetaceans move around South Devon and can be observed on many of our sunset tours. Our seals fish and bask in the sun at their favourite haul outs that we pass and observe them from our boats. Bring refreshments and snacks with you.
Due to being out through the evening we recommend that you wear active walking clothes, gym leggings or waterproof trousers. Conditions can change, but we outfit you with any technical clothing that you may require. If its super warm you may prefer to wear beach clothes but bring a layer for sitting on the beach by the fire.
We carry a camera so we can snap images as we go or you can bring yours but remember to bring an phone case. We will happily forward any images to you afterward.
Tour times:
Our tour times change throughout the season to get you out during the sunset and back before dark. On our summer tours, you can expect to have our fire and cooked food around 1930 so please bring snacks if you are used to eating earlier.
