What you'll do
This is a wonderful opportunity to switch off, slow down and take time out for you. Align yourself with the rhythms of nature. Give yourself time to reconnect with yourself and the 'YOU' you left behind somewhere.
This experience will allow you to do this - and so much more.
I’ll take you on a 'twilight to darkness' sensory meander that'll leave your senses zinging. Moving slowly, you'll experience the night in a completely different way. Feel the cold, crisp air as you breathe. Hear owls hooting and crunching leaves underfoot. Let the smell of nature awaken your awareness of this precious moment.
Afterwards, you'll cast your eyes to the celestial heavens above while I show you a different way to stargaze. A contemplation on the dark, night sky that'll leave you feeling awe-inspired yet grounded.
Around the fire built by Georgia, I’ll direct you through an exercise that’ll focus on letting go of the old and bringing in the new. I'll introduce other gentle activities that'll be completely soothing and regenerative too - perfect for welcoming in the new.
You’ll end the evening sat next to the warming fire drinking hot chocolate, toasting marshmallows and connecting with like-minded others.
This event is ideal if you wish to give yourself space, time and to let go of that ‘to do’ list. You'll leave feeling rejuvenated, calmer and ready to face a new day.
Further information
Our evening is set in ancient woodlands around 30 minutes north of York in a wonderfully rural location, close to Gilling Castle. The peace and quiet here has a depth you don’t find in towns and cities. Plus its higher vantage point reveals fantastic views and big skies - ideal for this experience.
The walk length is around 2 miles on well defined paths, but we will travel over rough ground and up a steep hill. We'll also be walking in the dark as well - with a torch!
Please note, there are no public toilets on site. There are plenty of places for a natural break however!
