Itinerary
We plan to meet in the walkers car park near Canisp Lodge, check equipment before heading east up a good track with Canisp as our backdrop, a truly beautiful peak in its own right. We weave past rivers and lochans before taking the newly laid path towards the col of Suilven. Looking on from here there doesn't look any probable way to get up on the the ridge! The path weaves it's way to the base of the steepest section of the day, by now we can see the angle isn't quiet so steep as it looked before. We take our time on ascent before being greeted with some of the best views across to Stac Pollidah and beyond as we stick our heads over the col. We grab some food behind the oddly placed dry stone dyke. Now the final push to the summit, be warned, on a clear day it can be so beautiful you might not want to leave...
