Experience the excitement of climbing and abseiling! North Wales offers some of the best and most varied rock climbing in the UK. Here in Llandudno we are spoilt for choice of amazing venues on our doorstep. For this session, we climb in a small quarry near Llandudno. The climbing is ideal for beginners, and is suitable for all ages from age 5 to 80+! Whilst maximising your time spent on the rock, you will be introduced to climbing equipment, terminology, grading systems, movement skills, safety techniques, knots and more. The session will be progressive in order that everyone can have maximum participation, and we will set the challenges at a suitable level for all levels of ability and confidence. Typically we will start off by building your confidence in rock climbing techniques, and the rope techniques that keep you safe. We can then build on the level of challenge to suit you. Once you feel ready, we will complete an abseil, where you lower yourself from the top of the cliff. You should come away from the session buzzing, with a fantastic introduction to the wonderful sport of rock climbing, and some memories for life.
Itinerary
The day before your climbing session, your instructor will call you to discuss venue options for the day, taking into account the local weather conditions, your abilities and expectations, etc. You will be given a google link to the climb site where we will meet for the session. There is a short walk from the car park to the rock face.
This session is particularly suited to families with young children. Those with more confident teenagers may be more suited to the "Adult" session.

What you'll need
🧤 Warm Clothing - Clothing suitable for being active outdoors in the prevailing weather conditions. Gym type clothing is ideal. Trainers are ideal as footwear, or walking shoes/boots. Sandals or crocs are not suitable.
☂️ Waterproofs
🍴 Food - Snacks are ideal to keep you active for the session.
🥤 Drink - Plenty of water and/or hot drinks to keep you hydrated.
