National Forest Bike Tours

About National Forest Bike Tours

My name is Rupert and I have lived in the National Forest area all my life. I have seen the National Forest area change beyond recognition over the last few decades. From the deep coal mines and opencast to the many beautiful areas of woodland, lakes covered with bird life and seemingly endless paths and trails. I have been a keen cyclist all my life, pretty much trying every discipline and racing at some level in most of them. I regularly ride in time trials, cyclocross and mountain bike events. I have also competed around the world in triathlon and duathlon events. I am a qualified British Cycling cycle leader, a competent bike mechanic and I am a qualified first aider. I enjoy riding around this area with my family, and have discovered so many wonderful routes that I would love to be able to share them you. Not only do we have the National Forest itself, but we have so many more attractions to see in the area, including historic stately homes and parks, sites of battles and memorial grounds, pretty villages and market towns, and several outdoor activity visitor centres which are great for children. The rides will be a leisurely, fun and hopefully informative experience, with plenty of options to stop, chat and take refreshment. We are never too far away from an ice cream or coffee and cake. You will be safely guided around the full route, with hopefully all your needs being taken into account.
