About Perth Food Tours

Perth Food Tours is the only food walking tour in Perth, Scotland. We offer tours on Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm. They last approximately 3 hours and during the tour we will take guests on a stroll around the city of Perth and stop off at 7 specially selected venues for a taste of traditional Scottish food and drinks

Booking Policy

All bookings must be made and paid for in advance via the Perth Food Tours website. 

Please review all booking details to make sure they are correct and advise us of any special requests, i.e. any dietary requirements, accessibility requests, at the time of booking. 

We will check in you in as guests on the tour when you first meet your guide.  Sorry but you cant bring additional guests with you on the tour if a ticket has not been purchased for them in advance using our website. All the venues we visit have been informed of numbers and will have tables ready for us and will not be prepared for extra people. We also have no facilities to sell tickets on the day and carry no cash.

Arriving late: ‍ Please note that our guides will not be able to wait for guests arriving late as the tour follows a schedule and it's not fair to the other guests on the tour. Please make the necessary arrangements to arrive at the meeting point at least 5 minutes prior to the tour start time. If you are running late please inform the guide by phone as soon as possible so it may be arranged for you to join the tour at a further stop.

As we are all aware, your mode of transport can be delayed or cancelled so please check before you travel to make sure your route will be unaffected. We cannot be held responsible for delays from public transport or other delays in your travel time that may make you late for our tours. ‍

Please note that we cannot issue refunds if you are late for, or miss part of, or all of, the tour.

Weather Conditions: ‍ We conduct our tours come rain or shine. You are advised to carry some form of waterproof clothing and/or an umbrella and dress appropriately for any other weather conditions. ‍ This is Scotland and even on a sunny day it can suddenly get chilly or there can be an unexpected shower.

If your tour guide has not suspended the tour but you do not want to continue with the tour due to weather, you will not be reimbursed for your ticket(s). ‍

If we are forced to cancel in advance of a tour due to official amber weather warnings or other circumstances, your ticket price will be refunded.

If the tour is cut short because the guide has risk assessed dangerous conditions e.g. severe lightening or flying debris due to high winds, the refund structure will be as follows: If the tour is up to half way through, half the ticket price will be reimbursed. If the tour is more than half way through no refund will be made. ‍

If you choose to leave the tour because of bad weather, and it has not been cancelled by Perth Food Tours, no refund will be made.

Timings: The tours last approximately 3 hours but sometimes may overrun or finish slightly earlier depending on the number of people on the tour. Please be aware of this when planning further events or travel directly after the tour ‍

Health & Safety of Tour Customers: ‍ Perth Food Tours have appropriate public liability insurance in place and have risk assessed the tours for the safety of their customers and tour guides, and will make a short health and safety briefing at the start of the tour.

However, you – the tour guest – are responsible for your own safety during the tour. ‍ Tour guests must take responsibility for themselves and exercise all due caution when crossing roads and walking safely at all times during the tour. ‍

Dietary requirements: It is your responsibility to inform Perth Food Tours of any dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances at the time of booking.

While Perth Food Tours will check with suppliers as to the contents of the food and drinks on offer which may contain allergens, they cannot guarantee that the food and drinks being sampled have not come into contact with any of those allergens.

If you have not informed Perth Food Tours of special dietary requirements at the time of booking we cannot guarantee that these can be met on the day of the tour as our suppliers will be unaware and may not be able to prepare something for you at short notice

Please note that Perth Food Tours are not responsible for any of the food or drinks consumed on its tours.

Alcohol: There is alcohol served at some of the stops of the tour. Please make sure you have ID with you in case you are asked for proof of age. Soft drink alternatives will always be available if required.

Please make sure you have organised suitable and safe travel arrangements following the tour once alcohol has been consumed.

Anyone arriving to take part in the tour who is clearly under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to take part in the tour and no refund will be given.

Right to Distribute Media: ‍ Your guide may take photographs and videos on the tour which may appear on the Perth Food Tours Website, social media or other promotional material - just to let others see what fun our tours are! If you would prefer your image not to be used in such a way please let your guide know at the time.

Indemnity: ‍ Perth Food Tours may hold you liable for any loss, expenses (including but not limited to reasonable legal costs and disbursements), losses and damages arising from or incurred by reason of any claims, demands, actions that arise as a result of your breach of these terms and conditions. ‍ This indemnity shall not apply to the extent any such claim or demand or action arises as a result of the Company’s breach of these terms and conditions. ‍ ‍

Applicable Law: ‍ These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes relating to your access to and use of the Site shall be determined by the Scottish courts. You are responsible for compliance with any applicable laws of the country from which you are accessing the Site. ‍ ‍
