About Coastal Adventures North Devon

All our routes and activities have been meticulously planned by owner and head guide, Josh Surridge. His years growing up on the coast of North Devon have always been spent doing some sort of activity in the ocean; be it surfing, surf life saving, coasteering, stand up paddling, open water swimming, kayaking, windsurfing, fishing or spearfishing he has certainly learnt from experience. Josh guides and teaches most of the activities we run, along with a few hand picked local staff members who all train with Josh and have grown up on the coast of North Devon. Just to name a few of Josh's personal accolades he has been a county swimming champion, multiple British surf life saving medallist and has surfed some of the best waves across the world including Indonesia, Australia and all over Europe. Lifeguarding on Croyde (one of the busiest beaches in the UK) alongside teaching surfing, stand up paddling and coasteering in South West England from the age of 16, Josh has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the ocean to keep you safe and give you the very best experience of what he loves.
