About Spilmans

OUR FAMILY FARM The Spilman Farming team consists of husband and wife Richard and Sally Spilman, along with two of their three sons, Tom and Joss. They collectively farm 700 acres, 600 as tenants at Lodge Farm, Helperby where they grow their renowned asparagus, and 100 acres down at Church Farm, Sessay. Here, they grow soft fruits for Pick Your Own and over one hundred thousand pumpkins for the famous Pumpkin Festival. Tom and Joss are now in charge of running the family farm, but you will see us all on the farm throughout the year.
