About Melbury Vale Vineyard

Perched on Foots Hill, Melbury Vale Vineyard is a family-owned, rural business specialising in the production of wines, liqueurs, brandies and ciders. Built into the slope, the company's winery boasts a wildflower meadow roof, as well as rainwater harvesting to encourage sustainability. Comprising 28 acres of rolling hillside, the vineyard welcomes visitors, organises tours and invites wine aficionados to tasting sessions. Melbury Vale was bought in December 2003, by brother and sister, Glynn and Clare, as 28 acres of derelict and dilapidated farmland and buildings, formerly part of Barfoot Farm, near to Melbury Mill and Cann Mill. They have lovingly converted the buildings and restored the land to good management with much determination, hard work, help and support from friends and family, to make it the varied and thriving rural business that it is today.

Booking Policy

Winery Tours: Visitors must be 18 or over with a valid ID for alcohol purchases. Please contact us directly if there are any members of your party under 18 years of age. All bookings are only confirmed once full payment has been received.

For private tour group bookings a deposit of £10 per head will confirm the booking if well in advance of the event date. Full payment is required to complete or confirm a booking at least 28 days prior to your event date or when you book if within 28 days of the event.

Cancellation Policy

Custom Policy

Winery Tours: Visitors must be 18 or over with a valid ID for alcohol purchases. You have the right to cancel your event or accommodation purchase with a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Any experience event cancellations or booking amendments must be outside of 72 hours of the booked date or full charges will be applied.

Glamping: Full payment is required to secure your booking dates. Cancellations within 28 days of your first booking date will not be refunded.

Cedar Lodge: Full payment is required to secure your booking dates. Cancellations within 28 days of your first booking date will not be refunded.
