On the 23rd March 2023, our Head of Sales, Dean Spencer, made the trip to the South West Tourism Awards hosted at the incredible and iconic venue, the Eden Project.
There were a total of 482 entries, covering regions such as Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Bath, Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Over 90 awards were presented across the night, with many hospitality and attraction businesses taking home a trophy across cafe, pubs, watersports schools and falconry sectors.
Overall, South West businesses had the largest number of tourism awards nationally which highlights the quality of experiences and operations of these businesses and the importance of these key holiday destinations for the UK.
This year, Beyonk sponsored the Experience of the Year award, where we saw West of England Falconry win the Gold trophy, also a Beyonk client.
We’d like to extend our congratulations to the silver winner Experience Cornwall Tours and the two bronze winners Raceworld and Get Lost Powerboat Training, all photographed below alongside Dean Spencer.
When asked how the night went, Dean summarised;
“It was great to see first hand such a unique and well-run attraction [speaking on the Eden Project]. I loved seeing tourism businesses celebrate each other in such a fun and rewarding environment.”
