And if you’re feeling confident following the session, there is a monthly poetry open-mic night the Thursday following this workshop (10th October). Take the opportunity to share your work (or just listen to others) and feel inspired and emboldened along with other poetry fans. It is held at Craft Brewed, 9 Market Buildings, Maidstone, ME14 1HP. 

Biography: 
Dorothy Lehane is the author of seven poetry publications. Until the summer of 2023, she was a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Kent, where she worked for 13 years. She has performed her work at prestigious venues including the Sorbonne University, BBC Kent, the Science Museum, the Wellcome Library, and the Poetry Library.
