Axe throwing, Graythwaite Estate

Adjacent to our clay pigeon shooting site, nestled in the heart of Graythwaite Estate on the shores of Windermere, is our axe throwing ground. A regular addition to an archery experience is the increasingly popular target sport of axe throwing. Our friendly and experienced instructor will provide the all-important safety briefing followed by expert tuition for novices and axe throwing champions alike. Once the preserve of lumberjack competitions in the USA this activity has been embraced by the British public and is super fun and competitive.
Surrounded by peace and quiet and Lakeland estate land, this is the perfect location to learn something new or brush up on your target skills.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at our 4x4 and Shooting Lodge, please make use of our free parking before meeting one of our team of experienced and friendly instructors. Following introductions, we'll head to the axe throwing range and start with the all-important safety briefing. Following practice rounds, you'll progress to the competition where we introduce fun target challenges to test your party resulting in one of you being crowned 'Top Axe Thrower'! As with all our experiences, this will be private for your booking. For up to 6 guests, the duration is approximately 45 minutes, slightly longer for 7 or more.
