Be a part of history!

Come and help us uncover the secrets of the old Mote House, located in the Long Valley in Mote Park.

This summer we're carrying out a small community archaeology excavation of the site to see if we can uncover the remains of walls, foundations, floors, etc. from the post-medieval manor house that once stood on this site.

The site will be open to the public from Friday 14th - Monday 17th for everyone to come and look around.

We are also offering a limited number of spaces for people to join the archaeologists and get 'hands-on' with history. These must be pre-booked and are only available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as we will be working with a local school on Monday.
