Highlights

2024 DATE for this EVENT; June 8th

Your personal guide Steve will lead you on a tour that explores the Brecon Beacons which will reward you with some amazing riding and stunning views on wild and natural trails. Climbing to altitudes of over 500 metres, these trails give you a real sense of adventure. This beautiful route takes you on small quiet mountain lanes through a valley, between the Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Black Mountains. As we climb with fantastic views overlooking the valley, we soon arrive at our first off-road section winding our way down a rocky decent through the woods towards a small hamlet and over the river. Back onto roads and a sharp climb to find a rocky trail with an old stone wall running alongside with views of a pine forest on the edge of the mountain. We fast approach a river crossing (you might get your feet wet!) as we enter the forest. Winding through the forest on gravel track, we continue climbing as we come close to the top of the Black Mountain; a final steep climb towards the summit to join the Beacons Way will reward you with awesome views. And now the descent ! On wild and natural trails with 360 degree views of the Welsh Mountain landscape. A left turn off camber before heading down through woods, negotiating loose rocks before we return back onto quiet lanes to find trails that follow the contours of the mountain. Finally, we reach a valley where the route takes us alongside a large river and back to the village of Glangrwyney.
