Try your hand at Canoeing at the Keswick Mountain Festival.

As part of the accessibility zone of the Keswick mountain festival, we are offering Canoeing on Derwent water - right from the edge of the festival site. Step away from the crowds and set off from the shore with our experienced instructors and pick up some new paddling skills. 

We specialise in providing awesome adventures for anyone regardless of any impairments and canoeing is especially accessible. We have a range of adaptive techniques and equipment to make canoeing fun for everyone. 

 This is a great moment if you ever thought you'd like to try the sport out but were unsure about how it would work for you and your family/friends. 

 A warning though this stuff is addictive: one little go with the right support and the next thing you'll find yourself signed up to awesome adventures all over the place - the same level of enablement on show here is available on our full day, weekend and week-long voyages. 

We will have a short briefing before getting everyone on the water and comfy with whatever kit they need to enable them to access the lake. Once all are launched we will have a quick session of how to make the canoes work effectively before setting off on a tour of the lake.
