"As part of our Food, drink and (of course) water month, the Pump Room welcomes Eve Bacon from Live'n History historical interpretations company to share her knowledge about spices and medieval society.

Live'n History have extensive experience of recreating historical events and have worked at a number of historic sites and museums throughout the country. Through their presentations, they educate, entertain and inspire by recreating the past through presentations and workshops and have worked with a variety of museums and heritage sites including The National Trust and English Heritage.

 Eve tells us, "I have a passion for spices that were used in the past. During the talk, I will explain where the Medieval people thought they came from and how they illustrated society at the time."

Guests are invited to arrive from 6.30pm for refreshments. The talk will then commence at 7pm and finish at 8pm. Giests are welcome to stay for a drink and to socialise once the talk has completed.
