Highlights
Hope House Costume Museum is presenting '200 Years of Fashion' in the Assembly Rooms of the beautiful Buxton Crescent.
Join curator Notty Hornblower from Hope House Costume Museum and her models, as they take you on a journey of fashion through the decades. Modelling some of Nottys sensational 3000 pieces, the show will start with the opulence of Georgian fashion. The evening will take you through the simplicity of the Regency era, the full embellishment of Victorian times followed by 'S' shaped Edwardian dresses. Next we'll stop in the iconic 1920's showcasing its stunning beadwork, the dropped hemlines of the 1930's, the make-do and mend era of the 1940's, then move into the 1950's enjoying the revival of glamour thanks to Christian Dior's New Look.
To finish the evening it's all about standout 60's fashion carrying on until we reach fashion as we know it today! With a soundtrack for each era and Nottys in-depth knowledge and personal touch, you will be sure to have an evening to remember.
