This tour is perfect for devotees of the 1995 BBC production of Pride & Prejudice, starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. The tour features the opportunity to explore Lyme Park, which was used as the exterior of Pemberley, including the courtyard, landscaped gardens, reflecting lake and with the option to enjoy a short walk to the small lake where Mr Darcy famously enjoyed a swim. We will also have the opportunity to visit Sudbury Hall, which was used as the interior of Pemberley and which fans of the 1995 version will recognise instantly. (Please note that Sudbury will be closed to visitors in 2021 for renovation: Our guests will have the option of adding in a further location in replacement, such as Chatsworth House or Haddon Hall, both of which have been featured in many TV and film productions including Pride & Prejudice). This tour also features other picturesque locations used in iconic moments in the 6 part series, including the narrow cobbled street which was used as the Lambton Inn and the iconic rocks where Elizabeth stood and declared the view to be "Beautiful".
The tour also gives our guests a chance to enjoy the stunning scenery of the Peak District national park along the way. We will pick you up at your accommodation or a convenient railway station for that unique, door to door service.
Please note that admission to Lyme Hall and Sudbury Hall are payable locally if you choose to explore the houses and gardens.
