Felting In this full day workshop, you will experience three distinct elements to creating your unique piece. The first part involves layering different strands of wool tops onto a flat surface to create a design where there will be visual resources at hand to support you if need be or you may wish to create something more abstract. This will then be wet felted to fuse the fibres together.  After this process is complete additional detail will be added to your piece using needle felting to create texture and definition. The final part to this workshop will be refining the felted design with different embroidery stitches and embellishments with beads and buttons. About your tutor Nayna is a qualified art teacher with 18 years teaching experience. Her first post was working abroad in Botswana in Southern Africa; an opportunity that was invaluable. In 2018 she left the teaching profession to work for herself delivering arts and crafts workshops with various organisations and community settings. Nayna has skills in different disciplines and when the opportunity arises, she devises workshops that reference different cultures and artists that often don’t get the recognition they deserve. She understands how important art is to ones wellbeing and endeavours to create safe spaces so participants can tap into their creativity without judgement or pressure.
