Highlights

Join writers Eva Verde (In Bloom) and Elvin James Mensah (Small Joys) in conversation with New York Times journalist Charlie Brinkhurst-Cuff as they discuss the themes of love, friendship and family in their sensational novels.

In Bloom tells a deeply affecting story of strength, survival, forgiveness, resilience and determination, and the fierce love and unbreakable bonds between mothers and daughters.

Small Joys is a moving, funny, tender and epic debut novel about ordinary lives and the joy of finding happiness in the most unexpected places.

Biographies:
Eva Verde is a writer from East London. Identity, class and female rage are recurring themes throughout her work and her debut novel Lives Like Mine, was published by Simon and Schuster UK. Her words have featured in Marie Claire, Grazia, Elle and The Big Issue. Eva lives in Essex with her husband, children and dog.

Elvin James Mensah is a British-Ghanaian writer born and raised in South East London. When not writing about blackness and queerness, he can be found voraciously explaining either the interconnectivity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to his long-suffering friends, or the everlasting cultural impact of the Spice Girls.

Copies of In Bloom and Small Joys will be available for purchase and signing by the authors.
