We love our guided wildlife walks, and the photos we capture on them. But now we have a new exciting experience for you - capturing your images from a different perspective - on the water!!
The perspective of being lower down, next to the bank, really allows those with a desire for great captures to see the wildlife in a very different way.

We are therefore running a few "Wildlife Watch on the Water" events in small groups of 6 guests, your Wildlife Guide / Wildlife Photographer Steve, and the driver / owner of Thames River Taxi - our partner in this venture.

The shallow bottom boat is a great design for wildlife watching, allows us to get close to banks and the wildlife itself so we can observe without disturbing, and also means we can move as nimbly or slowly as we wish, to try and ensure we can be flexible and adapt to the wildlife we see.

The tour will start at 6am from Goring on Thames (exact location will be sent in the Booking Confirmation), Pastries and Juice will be provided - please select your juice choice and pastry choice in the "add on" section.

Guests will be given a short introduction on arrival by Steve, your Wildlife Guide and photographer.

We will then board and get comfortable on the boat, and will start to head in the direction of Pangbourne along the River Thames. The distance and pace will completely depend on how much we see and hear, and what we want to capture. We will turn back at circa 90 minutes, and return. (Total 3hrs)

On the last run of these, we had some real "eye to eye" captures with a Great Crested Grebe, some great flying shots of various Geese, a new perspective of the Kingfisher (you have to be quick to catch those though!), a Mink being chased off by a Greylag Goose.... and an array of other sightings we would have been unlikely to witness without being on the boat.

If you have questions around camera equipment or set up, it is advised you contact us in advance so this can be covered of either by message or in a short 121 Photography Session, to ensure you get the best out of your experience on the day, and can focus on your captures. 

Please Note - in advance, guests will also be asked to confirm on some medical questions - these will be kept anonymous and not shared with any other parties. But they are a requirement to be able to attend the experience on the water for Health & Safety reasons.
