On Saturday 20th July 2024, Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail in collaboration with IK Productions presents The Little Mermaid Open Air Theatre. IK Productions unmistakable brand of “delightfully daft” family theatre is back for another adventure for all ages. Escape under the sea with IKP’s The Little Mermaid on an exciting new adventure! From the team who brought you Hercules (4* The Stage), Beauty and the Beast and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (4* The Stage), come along for a huge European adventure to find freedom, truth and love! This brand new family show is great for all ages from tiny tots to big kids, so hop aboard and sail the sea with The Little Mermaid!

The performance will begin at 5pm at the top of Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail by the entrance to Ingleborough Cave. The event is Open Air Theatre, so the entire performance takes place outdoors. Ticket holders will be required to walk the 1.23 mile trail at a steady incline of no more than 10° to reach the site, arriving at the entrance to Ingleborough Cave in time for the performance, as well as walking back after the performance. Please read below for more detailed information regarding the walk.

Your ticket includes day entry to Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail, so you're welcome to arrive early and enjoy refreshments in The Old Sawmill Cafe, or arrive at Ingleborough Cave early and embark on an underground adventure 500 metres underground (tickets for cave entry NOT included, but can be purchased on the day), leaving you at the cave entrance to save your spot for the performance! IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:

• The event is interactive, with the performers making clever use of a small space. The event does not move around.
• The event is Open Air Theatre. The entire performance will take place outdoors.
• Children under 3 do not need a ticket, but for younger children please do factor in the walk there and back.
• Please factor in the walk and the terrain if you are bringing a pushchair. If you require further information, do get in touch.

• Well behaved dogs are welcome, providing they are kept on a lead.
• We have very limited seating on site, and do not provide additional seating. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own equipment to make the experience comfortable, in the form of picnic blankets, rugs, collapsible chairs or similar. Some of the terrain is gravel, and some is grassy.
• The event will go ahead providing it is safe to do so, so please come dressed appropriately.
• Warm outdoor clothing, appropriate footwear for all outdoor terrains, and waterproofs are recommended. It is also advisable to bring sun lotions and midge spray.
• On the evening, our small shop will be open at the cave selling hot and cold drinks, sweets, chocolate & ice cream.

• A booking confirmation will be sent to you, and you must bring this with you, either printed, or on an electronic device. Please check junk mail if it doesn’t arrive in your regular inbox.
• A reminder email will be sent to you 48 hours prior to your visit. Please read this carefully, as it will detail any additional information regarding restrictions or policies that may have occurred since you booked.
• Ingleborough Cave, where where the event will run, is not next to a road. Access is via Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail, a 1.23 mile maintained gravel trail at a steady incline of no more than 10°, so do factor this in to your timings.

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

• The tickets you purchase can only be used on the date and time specified. They are non-transferable.
• Whilst we will try to ensure the event starts on time, we cannot guarantee this will happen. Refunds will not be offered for delays of less than 1 hour.
• In the event that we are unable to open due to adverse weather, or any other problems, a full refund will be issued minus the card processing charge & booking fee.
• Providing the event is running, refunds will not be offered to those unable to attend.
• Due to the unpredictability of nature, Ingleborough Cave reserve the right to close the event at any time.
• Ingleborough Cave reserve the right to refuse admission.
