Advanced Sea Kayaking

Are you happy in moderate tidal flows (2-3 knots), slight to moderate sea states (1-1.5m of swell), winds of Force 4+ and small surf? 
Would you like to take the next step and start to explore the Islands offshore, play in the stronger flowing tide races and build your confidence in stronger winds and rougher water? 
If this sounds exciting and you wish to learn to master your kayaking skills in these environments this is the course you’re looking for. 

What to expect:
Depending on conditions our Advanced Sea Kayaking courses will introduce you to tide races, overfalls, swell, technical rock-hopping and winds of Force 5 and above (weather permitting). We will work on skills to help you move towards the BC Sea Kayak Leader and Advanced Sea Kayak Leader awards. This course is aimed at reasonably experienced sea kayakers who would like to stretch their comfort levels and further develop personal skills in moderate and or advanced sea conditions. Potentially a journey of up to 15-20 miles in a day depending on conditions and ability of the group. This course can be tied in with BC Personal Performance Sea Awards, (a small admin fee is involved to register the award with British Canoeing). A maximum group size of 4 people to 1 coach, to ensure individual coaching and personal aspirations are met.
