Highlights

Try your hand at Rock Climbing at the Keswick Mountian Festival.

As part of the accessibility zone of the Keswick Mountain Festival, we are offering accessible Rock climbing - right from inside the festival site. Don your harness and climb the wall.

We specialise in taking excellent adventures and tweaking the equipment and techniques to allow them to be accessible to a super wide variety of people with specific needs

We're achieving this by taking over the climbing wall for an hour and bringing in our accessible kit. We can enable you to climb through a huge range of techniques including:
Reducing the force needed to pull up through the belay rope.
Helping place feet and hands along side you
Using a harness that holds your posture
Guiding you through a radio
Giving you a pulley end that you can pull down on to go up
Attaching the lowering devise directly to your wrist (weight it to go down)

This might all sound geeky and technical but it will all make sense on the day and comes down to the fact that we have many different ways to get as many people climbing as possible!

This is a great moment if you ever thought you'd like to try the sport out but were unsure how it would work for you and your family/friends.

A warning though this stuff is addictive: one little go with the right support and the next thing you'll find yourself signed up to awesome adventures everywhere!

Our top 10 enablers:
1) Lots of different harnesses with different support
2) Reducing weight through the rope
3) A pulldown bar that moves you up
4) Climbing right there alongside you
5) Another climber to help position feet and hands
6) A backrope to help orientate you to the wall
7) Radio Guidance
8) Big headphones to cut out the surrounding noise
9) Pull you up and drop your hand to descend
