The Sheltered Water SUP Award (formerly 3 stars) is designed to develop your skill and judgment when organising and undertaking journeys on water up to 200 metres from shore in winds up to force 3. Previous paddling experience is essential and you should be competent at paddling on flat water prior to attending this course. On this course we will help you to acquire the skills needed for a successful and enjoyable day out on the water, and coach you in confidently controlling your board. Over the 2 day course you will spend time in two venues, where in addition to journeying and paddling skills we will look at rescue skills, planning and equipment. Our SUP Award courses usually take place on the south Devon coast.
