Magical Night 'Awe-Walk' & Stargazing

Come and embrace the darkness...
From this location, the skies are simply huge. Looking down below you you'll see the huge flat plains revealing twinkling lights of nearby villages. Looking up, view constellations, planets and if we are lucky - shooting stars on clear nights. During a full moon, be prepared for a totally magical experience.
To get there, you'll weave your way through primeval, mystical woodland. Skirt the edge of an ancient geological limestone scar and then hop out at the top where one of the largest Iron Age hill forts in Europe was situated.
During this experience, you'll learn more about the universe, deep time, planet earth and we'll point out a few constellations and planets too. While meandering, you'll find out about a secret, sensory technique that'll enable you to experience so much more - and leave you feeling amazing.
Please note, we cannot guarantee clear skies - BUT this is still an atmospheric and amazing 'pick-me-up' that will leave you feeling rejuvenated. And very much alive.

Although the walk is only (around) 4 miles long and mainly on footpaths, there are sections of mud and very rough ground in places. Please note, there are steep hills - including one section that is particularly long and steep heading up to the plateau, plus lots of steep, uneven steps back down to the car park.
For your comfort, a good level of fitness will be needed for this activity. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions before booking. Please note booking fees are non-refundable.

What you'll need
🧤 Warm Clothing - additional warmer layers (you will need them as it can get very cold)
☂️ Waterproofs - decent waterproof jacket & trousers (please bring both)
🍴 Food - bring a snack if you haven't managed to eat - or suffer from low blood sugar
🥤 Drink - bring water or a flask
📋 Other - a rucksack, headtorch (and make sure it works), spare batteries for headtorch, waterproof walking boots (not wellies)
