Apple & Honey Harvest Day Ticket (26th Oct-3rd Nov)

Your ticket allows access to the full attraction all day from 9:30am - 5:00pm. Customers can purchase a ticket in advance online, or on the day in person. 

Our Apple & Honey Harvest programme runs daily from 10:30am until 4:30pm, and you can quite easily spend the whole day here exploring the site! In order to make the most of your visit and to take part in all activities, please give yourself plenty of time - we advise arriving by 1pm to get the most out of your entry ticket.  

Daily activities include:

• Honey Factory Tour & Taste – see our production areas, and sample some of our delicious honeys. Watch as our Heather Honey is extracted and maybe have a go yourself!
• Apple Show - Watch a live demo of an apple mill and press, learn about the traditions of the apple harvest and join us for a Wassail!
• All About the Honeybee – learn about honeybees and watch a virtual opening of a hive to show you what goes on in the colony.

• Beeswax & Candle Rolling – learn about the amazing substance that is beeswax and roll your own candle to take home with you.
• Curious Creatures – meet some other curious creatures, including Giant Snails and Stick Insects.

• Nectar Gardens & Seed Harvest – Hear about our pollinator-friendly gardens and gather some bee-friendly seeds to take home to plant in your own garden.

• Bee Biology – view our giant metal bee and learn how the bee’s body is perfectly designed for what they do.
• Solitary Bees – Find out about the diverse world of solitary bees and help us create nesting areas for our new bee mansion!

Extra Halloween fun for October Half Term:

• Halloween Trail - children will love finding the spooky characters hiding all around the Nectar Gardens.
• Pumpkin Patch - our patch is open Sat 26th - Thurs 31st Oct, 10am-4pm. Come and choose your perfect pumpkin!

• EXPLORE - the beautiful Nectar Gardens planted specifically for pollinators
• PLAY -  in the Play Hive Indoor & Outdoor Play Areas, plus the Bizzy Bee Garden Playground.
• SHOP - browse our Gift Shop which is full of wonderful honey, beeswax candles and bee-autiful gifts!

Please note, the bees become dormant in the colder months so we are not able to open the hives between October and March. The virtual opening of a hive includes some amazing, close up footage of bees in the hive.
