Kayaking, paddleboarding or canoeing from our Lake facility in Park in the Past, Hope Village.

Approx 10 mins out of Chester, this is a lovely rural secluded location ideal for safe paddling whatever the weather. This is a great way to try paddlesports for the first time or just to get out and enjoy some lovely scenery and get some well earned fresh air.

Rain or shine we have options for all ages (minimum age on water is 3 years old with parent) By booking online you will have been deemed to have signed our waiver. Only one waiver is needed per group booking.

Our Startpoint & Endpoint is Hope Lake, Hope Parking is available and with a short walk to lakeside and our hire centre where your paddle equipment waits. 

Please be advised that Park in the Past may charge a small car parking fee.

Ideally you will need to arrive at least 30 minutes before your allotted start time to make sure you have all the correct equipment. Under 12’s must be accompanied on the water by an adult. 
Park in the Past reserve the right to charge an entrance fee for spectators to enter the park,
Entrance Fee: Participants booked with Direct Kayaks will be issued with a coloured band and if returned back to entrance within 2 hours any entrance fee will be refunded
  
If you wish to remain onsite for a longer period than the event to enjoy a walk around the park or go swimming please purchase the appropriate ticket at the kiosk with Park in the Past. .
If you have any questions please contact us before booking. We recommend wearing comfy clothing and bringing spare clothes just in case. Wetsuits are not provided but can be worn if you choose to.

We do have a limited number for hire along with some waterproof over tops and bottoms for kayaking. This is not a lesson and no instruction will be given, this is purely equipment hire for you to try this wonderful pass time and a new way to enjoy the water.

We do offer lessons at our facility in Hope for paddle boarding- We do recommend you book one of these if not confident. We also offer group bookings for corporate, wellbeing groups, meetup groups infact any group, please contact us for further details.
