Learn how to Sea Kayak in a Sit-In or Sit-On Kayak in the English Riviera Unesco Global Geopark. Our 2-hour introductory course empowers you to take your kayaking to the next level
You will master how to efficiently paddle forwards, turn, stop and steer your craft. Most paddlers find that after the course their paddling ability, knowledge, and awareness of the sea and beach environment has significantly increased and that they have good water confidence.
You will develop a range of paddling skills and techniques that will include;
\\Launching and landing\\Efficient paddling forwards, reversing, moving sideways and stopping
\\How to turn in tight spaces\\How to steer through tight gaps\\Paddler etiquette\\Bracing\\Capsize, self-rescue/swim to shore 50m\\Clothing and equipment\\Tools to find out local conditions and safe access to the water\\Places to find further reading\\Signposting to further reading materials and courses

There is a good range of accommodation in the area and within walking distance to at least one of the launches, however, currently we do not provide this within the course package.

- Equipment All clothing and equipment can be provided as well as boats and paddles
